Gauge Tank
Gauge tank is an atmospheric tank, in other words, it is a nonpressure tank. Gauge tank is used to measue oil volume per day from well after three phase separator.Sometimes, if flowrate is very small, gauge tank can also used as storage tank on the premise that there is no H2S in fluid.
Compared to gauge tank, there is no safety valve, and no back pressure valve there. but sight glass or magnetic level gauge should be also used to watch the liquid level in tank.
Gauge tank is normally designed as cuboid which is good for transportation.
